Privacy Policy

We ask for your name, number and addresses so we can quote and complete your move. Nothing more. We never sell your details. This page explains exactly what we hold and how to have it removed.

1. Who we are

Shree Shyam Movers Group ("we", "us") is a packers and movers company operating from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, serving customers across India. This policy explains what personal data we collect through https://www.ssmoversgroup.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

We are the Data Fiduciary for the information you share with us, as that term is used in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). If you only browse the site and never contact us, we do not collect anything that identifies you personally.

2. What we collect, and why

We ask for the minimum needed to quote and carry out a move. We do not ask for, and you should never send us, your Aadhaar number, PAN, bank details, card numbers, UPI PIN or passwords.

3. The legal basis: your consent

When you submit the quote form, you are giving us consent to contact you about that move. That is the only purpose we use it for. We do not sell your data, we do not rent it to lead-generation networks, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for.

You can withdraw consent at any time by calling or emailing us. Withdrawing it is as easy as giving it. If you withdraw consent while a move is in progress, we may still need to keep the booking and billing records the law requires us to keep.

4. Who your data is shared with

Your details are shared only with the people who need them to complete your move:

  • Our own move coordinators, survey staff and loading teams
  • Our partner transporter or destination agent, when your goods travel to a city we serve through a partner — they receive your name, delivery address and contact number only
  • The insurance provider, if you opt for transit insurance, to issue the cover and settle any claim
  • Our form provider, Web3Forms, which delivers the enquiry to our email inbox
  • Government authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information

5. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, where people drop off, and whether the site works properly on their device. These tools set cookies and may record anonymised interaction data.

This tells us about traffic patterns, not about you personally. We do not use it to build advertising profiles of individuals. You can block these cookies through your browser settings without losing access to any part of the site, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.

6. How long we keep it

RecordKept for
Enquiries that never became a bookingUp to 12 months, then deleted
Completed move records, quotations, inventories8 years, as tax and accounting rules require
Insurance and claim documentsAs long as the policy and claim window require
Website analytics dataUp to 14 months, per the analytics provider's retention setting

7. How we protect it

Enquiries reach us over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and are delivered to a password-protected business email account. Access to customer records is limited to the coordinators and office staff who need it to do their job. Physical inventory sheets are stored at our office and destroyed once the retention period ends.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

As a Data Principal you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data of yours we hold and how it has been used
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete details corrected or updated
  • Have your data erased, where we are not legally required to keep it
  • Withdraw your consent to being contacted, at any time
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to
  • Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it

9. Children

Our services are meant for adults arranging a move. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child's data has been shared with us, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The revision date at the top of this page always shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.

Grievance contact

To see, correct or delete your data — or to complain about how we handled it — contact our Grievance Officer. We respond within 30 days, as the DPDP Act requires.
