How much do packers and movers charge for 2 BHK house shifting?
A 2 BHK local shift costs ₹5,500 to ₹12,000 in most cities. For intercity, expect ₹12,000 to ₹25,000 depending on distance. A 1 BHK costs ₹3,000 to ₹8,000 locally, and a 3 BHK ₹10,000 to ₹18,000. Your exact price is fixed in writing after a free survey.
Is GST applicable on packers and movers charges in India?
Yes. Full-service relocation — packing, loading, transport and unloading together — is normally taxed at 18% GST as a composite supply. Transport-only service booked through a goods transport agency can attract 5%. If a mover quotes you 5% on a full-service move, ask which category they are billing under. Our quotations show GST as a separate line and every booking gets a proper GST invoice.
How much advance payment should I give to packers and movers?
A 10% to 20% advance at booking is normal in India. The balance is paid on delivery, before unloading finishes. Never pay the full amount before your goods are loaded, and never transfer money to a personal account. A genuine company gives you a receipt and a GST invoice for every payment.
How do I find genuine packers and movers near me and avoid fraud?
Insist on four things. First, a survey at your home or on video before any final price. Second, a written quotation that includes material, labour, transport and GST. Third, a GST number you can verify on the government portal. Fourth, an inventory list signed at loading. A price far below everyone else, or a demand for full advance, is the most common warning sign of a fake mover.
Which day is good for shifting to a new house?
Many families in India pick a Griha Pravesh muhurat from the panchang, and we happily plan around your chosen date and time. From a purely practical side, mid-month weekdays are cheapest and easiest. Month-ends, weekends and festival weeks are the busiest, so book those 10 to 15 days ahead.
How far in advance should I book my move?
Book 5 to 7 days ahead for a local shift and 10 to 15 days for an intercity move. Month-ends and festival seasons fill up first. For urgent needs, call us — we arrange same-day and next-day shifting whenever staff are free.
Do you give a bill for company reimbursement?
Yes. Every move comes with a GST invoice, a consignment note and an itemised inventory. This is the paperwork most employers and government transfer claims ask for, and we format it the way claim offices expect.
